Aviation memories 1. British European Airways (BEA)
Aviation memories - British European Airways (BEA)
For any reader not already aware, British European Airways (BEA) was one of two state-owned airlines in the UK. The other was British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC), and the two merged to become privately-owned in March 1974.
As the name suggests, BEA’s main sphere of operations was mainland Europe, and these documents reflect that heritage.
They go back to the 1960s and consist of:
• Aerodrome charts for the entire BEA network
• Aircraft navigation charts for the entire BEA network
• A selection of Operational forms
• Emergency Procedures – BEA De Havilland Comet
It will be seen that there is a range of different size paper formats in the below records, none of which proved problematical for SDS-ES – it’s another sign of our expertise.
• Airports charts for the entire BEA network
• Aircraft navigation charts for the entire BEA network
• A selection of Operational forms
• Emergency Procedures – DH Comet
• A sample of a used/completed Pilot’s Log
